Thomas Paras

Thomas is a Senior Director at Shore Capital Partners, a microcap private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Thomas’ responsibilities include working with portfolio company management teams to improve operational performance and implement strategic initiatives and preparing acquired platforms for add-on acquisitions and de novo growth.

 

Prior to joining Shore, Thomas was an experienced director at KPMG in Chicago within their Healthcare & Life Sciences Deal Advisory practice. While at KPMG, Thomas specialized in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for both private equity and strategic investors across the healthcare & life sciences industry. Thomas’ primary responsibilities included analyzing target company data to provide meaningful insights around quality of earnings, net working capital, and financial and operating trends, as well as coordinating cross-functional teams performing operational, tax, HR, and IT diligence. Prior to KPMG, Thomas spent two years at PwC’s audit practice serving a variety of public and private clients.

 

Thomas received his M.S. in Accounting and B.A. from the University of Michigan where he was a team captain of the university’s Division-1 lacrosse team. Thomas is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois.‍
