Bio

Marcy A. Bliss, CEO and Board member of PE-owned Wedgewood Pharmacy, is responsible for all aspects of the pharmacy operation and for leading the delivery of extraordinary business results. Wedgewood Pharmacy was acquired by the Chicago private equity firm New Harbor Capital in 2016, and in 2018 acquired Diamondback Drugs of Scottsdale, Arizona. Formerly the executive vice president of Business Operations and Marketing, Bliss began her career with Wedgewood Pharmacy in early 1999. Over the years, she assumed positions of increasing responsibility, many with a significant emphasis on pharmacy growth, the building of infrastructure, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and regulatory compliance. She leads the company’s public affairs and issues-management programs, and is frequently seen on Capitol Hill, protecting patient and prescriber access to compounded medication.

In addition to her role on the Board of Wedgewood Pharmacy, Marcy is a volunteer Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Appel Farm Arts & Music Center and recently joined the Board of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA). Previously, Marcy served on the board of directors of the Tobin Foundation for the Visually Impaired (Wilmington, DE).

Bliss holds a B.S. degree in Business/Marketing and Management Studies from the University of Maryland. A life-long learner, she has continued her education at The Wharton School for Executive Education (University of Pennsylvania), the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University (California) and with extensive leadership training from Gap International.
