Jacob Sorger

Jacob is a Director at Shore Capital Partners, a microcap private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Jacob’s responsibilities include working with portfolio company management teams to improve operational performance, implement strategic initiatives, and prepare acquired platforms for add-on acquisitions and de novo growth.

 

Prior to joining Shore, Jacob was an experienced Manager at EY in Chicago within their Financial Services Deal Advisory practice. While at EY, Jacob specialized in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for both private equity and strategic investors across the financial services industry. Jacob’s primary responsibilities included analyzing target company data to provide meaningful insights around quality of earnings, net working capital, and financial and operating trends. Prior to joining the Financial Due Diligence practice, Jacob spent four years in the EY Audit practice in Chicago.

 

Jacob received both his M.S. and B.S. in Accounting from The Ohio State University. Jacob is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois.‍
