The Shore Capital Advisory Board is comprised of a diverse group of highly successful executives and entrepreneurs. Each Advisory Board member has a consistent track record of generating substantial growth at the companies they have led or invested in. Advisory Board members are actively involved with the internal processes and investment decisions at Shore Capital.
Jeffrey A. Ishbia
Jeffrey is the founder of Ishbia & Gagleard, P.C. that has established a unique broad commercial law practice with international (Asia & Europe) clients. Jeff is heavily involved in the transactional side of the business practice with an emphasis on the mergers and acquisitions. He leads the business transaction practice of his firm.
In 1984, Jeffrey founded Shore Mortgage, a mortgage banking company that has become known as being an innovative leader in FHA lending. Under his guidance, he has grown the company into one of the largest privately held FHA lenders in the country. Shore not only originates mortgages, but is heavily involved in the wholesale, correspondent, and servicing arenas. Shore has grown from a couple of employees to over four hundred employees, closing billions of dollars yearly in mortgages. Shore Mortgage is licensed to do business in over 40 states and is among the top twenty FHA lenders in the United States based on volume of originations. Jeffrey is currently the Chairman of the Board of Shore Mortgage.
In addition to founding Shore Mortgage, Jeffrey operates Alert Alarm, a regional residential and commercial alarm service provider. Alert is a well respected installer and is capable of monitoring its accounts. Alert is growing geometrically and is rapidly becoming a well respected leader in the alarm and security industry in southeastern Michigan.
Jeffrey is also the incorporator of Ameralease, a company focused on leasing and servicing equipment throughout Michigan. Jeff also is the principal and controlling member of several real estate holding companies throughout Michigan.
In the past, Jeff owned and operated a number of entities ranging from restaurants, franchisors, auto component companies, snack food distributors, and title insurers. Because of Jeffrey's wide range of experience he is frequently appointed by the courts in southeast Michigan as a Receiver to operate and/or turnaround various operating businesses.
Jeffrey received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University in 1970 and Juris Doctorate degree from Wayne State University Law School in 1973.
