Each Advisory Board member has a consistent track record of generating substantial growth at the companies they have led or invested in. Advisory Board members are actively involved with the internal processes and investment decisions at Shore Capital.
Earl D. Ishbia
Earl co-founded Sherwood Food Distributors in 1969 and has helped it grow into one of the largest meat distributors in the United States. Initially, Earl wore many hats at Sherwood, including keeping the books, loading trucks, and making deliveries. Today, Earl is Sherwood's Chief Executive Officer and he has led the organization from a regional player to a national enterprise with over a billion dollars in annual sales.
Earl has led multiple strategic acquisitions for Sherwood, including the merger with Orleans International making the company a leading wholesale distributor of meat, poultry, and other foods. In 2000, Sherwood Food Distributors was listed among Fortune's largest privately held companies.
Earl was the recipient of the Ernst & Young 2009 Master Entrepreneur of the Year. He has also been named the Urner Barry Merchandising Man of the Year in 2004.
Earl sits on the Board of Sherwood Foods Distributors, Michigan Conference of Teamsters Welfare Fund, the National Poultry & Food Distributors Association, and Associated Food Dealers of Michigan.
